Senior Advisor - Pashields2002@yahoo.com

Pamela Shields is a senior executive in the consumer products and business-to-business products/service industries.  Ms. Shield’s diverse career spans over 20 years in general management, sales, marketing and consulting in the food, food related products and confectionery industries. Her track record of success has repeatedly been demonstrated during her tenure with such industry leaders as Hefty EZ Foil, Custom Food Products (subsidiary of Griffith Labs) and World’s Finest Chocolate.

As General Manager for “Hefty” EZ Foil, Pactiv’s aluminum disposable foil pan consumer business, Ms. Shield’s led the turnaround of this under performing division, implementing cost saving efficiencies of $5mm while growing company revenues by $12 mm.   EZ Foil sold and distributed products to companies in the grocery segment such as Publix and Wegman’s, Walmart and Sam’s Club.

Ms. Shield’s was the principal and founder of Opportunity Management, a strategic planning, marketing and consulting firm.  Opportunity Management served as a primary resource in the development of strategic plans that improved company efficiencies, created growth, and repositioned companies by identifying their untapped capabilities.  Ms. Shield’s also created innovative strategies that enabled her clients to enter into new markets while growing existing customer business.

As General Manager for Custom Food Products, an international ingredient company, she created short and long term strategic plans that delivered exponential growth.  Ms. Shields’ approach of “transitioning a private label company to a branded solution-oriented organization” increased company sales from $25mm to $50mm in four years in a flat market category.

As Vice President of New Business Ventures at World’s Finest Chocolate, Ms. Shield’s created an exclusive, high quality catalog business for the fundraising market.  The company, being last to enter this market, was facing strong competition, but also had the advantage of learning what made consumers purchase the product.  This knowledge was invaluable in building the brand.  The result was a business that generated $18mm in revenue in the second selling season and three times what existing competitors were currently selling in a school.

Ms. Shields has an MBA from DePaul in Marketing and an MS and BS in Education from the University of Kansas.
