Karen Kramer is FOCUS’ Director of Marketing and Business Development. Ms. Kramer has 18 years of management, marketing and business development experience. Ms. Kramer creates and implements regional and national lead generating programs as well as manages all customer facing marketing activities.

Prior to joining FOCUS, Ms. Kramer was the Director of Marketing for Advanced Solutions International, an international software firm serving the needs of the association and not-for-profit industry. Ms. Kramer spent 15 years helping to grow the company from a start-up with $700,000 in revenues to an international software company with revenues in excess of $30 million. The company sold their software products and services through a direct sales team and an international Reseller network. Ms. Kramer was responsible for the creation and supervision of the marketing staff and the operations of all corporate marketing strategies and programs, including website development, website marketing, public relations, direct mail, advertising, telemarketing, trade show attendance, corporate product literature and regularly disseminated email newsletters. Ms. Kramer was also instrumental in creating a customer care department which generated additional revenues and ensured ongoing customer satisfaction. These programs helped the company become the market leader in the association industry with 30% market share. The company was ranked in the top third of 1997 Inc. 500 companies and won the American Society of Association Executive’s Marketing Award in 1996.

Ms. Kramer is a dean’s list graduate of The University of Maryland where she received a B.S. Business Administration. She holds an MBA from The George Washington University. Ms. Kramer is a member of the American Marketing Association.
