Prashant Koirala, a FOCUS Associate, has been involved in private equity, M&A and consulting for over 5 years. Mr. Koirala has participated in both domestic and cross-border transactions. He is primarily responsible for business development and research within the firm. Mr. Koirala has spent significant time in India and China sourcing deals, and is familiar with the deal landscape in the emerging markets.

Prior to joining FOCUS, Mr. Koirala worked as an analyst with American Capital, $7 billion LBO based in Bethesda, Maryland. He was responsible for valuation, portfolio monitoring and due diligence. He also worked with New Markets Growth Fund, a $25 million early stage venture capital Fund based in Maryland.

Mr. Koirala co-founded Entrepreneurial Partnership of Greater Washington (EPGW), a non-profit based in Washington, DC, to help budding entrepreneurs in Washington’s inner city. He graduated with Honors from R.H. School of Business at University of Maryland.
