| Mr. Grabek
is the current President of Agricultural Solutions Inc.
(ASI), a health detection technology company for the worldwide
dairy industry. He
is also Chairman of Comedicus Incorporated, a cardiovascular
medical device manufacturer, founded in 1992. Comedicus
has developed a new and improved physiological path for delivering
cardiovascular drug therapy and cardiovascular diagnostic
and therapeutic appliances. Mr. Grabek has over 35 years
of executive management experience in the global business
community working in various executive capacities with G.V.
Medical, St. Jude Medical, United States Surgical Corporation
and New Dimensions in Medicine. In addition, he consults
with various start-up companies.
Mr. Grabek’s primary concentration has been on medical
devices used in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular
disease. He hired and directed the quality, technical,
and sales and management teams, which designed, developed
and marketed a breakthrough laser-enhanced angioplasty catheter
system worldwide. He introduced technology for a new
pathway for treating heart disease. His notable achievements
include the founding of three corporate ventures whose investment
funds have been in excess of 60 million dollars, one of which
is publicly traded on the NASDAQ exchange.
In addition to his involvement in the
business community, Mr. Grabek is a frequent lecturer at
seminars, symposiums, medical and investment conferences. This has served
to keep the companies, their products, technologies and growth
potential in the eyes and minds of the consumer, medical,
government healthcare, and financial communities. He also
taught as adjunct faculty for 10 years at the University
of St. Thomas in the Graduate School of Business program
for Entrepreneurship. In 2002, he was the recipient
of the “Excellence in Teaching” Award from the
University of St. Thomas and the “Distinguished Alumni
Award” from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb,
Illinois, where he now serves on the Board of its Alumni
Association.
Mr. Grabek holds a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Marketing, Masters in Business Education from
Northern Illinois University and a certificate from the
Executive Business Management program from Stanford University
in Palo Alto, CA. As
an inventor, he holds 13 patents on medical and agricultural
device technology.
